3/12/21 – True U.S. History – “Does Truth Matter in History?” – In the second program, Dennis Jamison exposes the concept of “History as a Weapon” as advocated  by  Howard Zinn and developed by adherents to his limited historical perspective that only the “victors write the history.” Using history as a weapon is also behind the “1619 Project” of the New York Times, directed by journalist Nikole Hannah – Jones. Jamison’s central point in the episode is that truth doesn’t matter to writers and propagandists advancing a Progressive-Revisionist “history.”  According to Jones: “The fight here is about who gets to control the national narrative, and therefore, the nation’s shared memory of itself.”
