CSN – LightWing Messages – 11/13/2022
The Lord Appears to Solomon
“I have heard your prayer and have chosen this place for myself as a temple for sacrifices.
“When I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command locusts to devour the land or send a plague among my people, if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. Now my eyes will be open and my ears attentive to the prayers offered in this place. I have chosen and consecrated this temple so that my Name may be there forever. My eyes and my heart will always be there.”
“As for you, if you walk before me faithfully as David your father did, and do all I command, and observe my decrees and laws… “
“But if you turn away and forsake the decrees and commands I have given you and go off to serve other gods and worship them, then I will uproot Israel from my land, which I have given them, and will reject this temple I have consecrated for my Name. I will make it a byword and an object of ridicule among all peoples. This temple will become a heap of rubble. All who pass by will be appalled and say, ‘Why has the Lord done such a thing to this land and to this temple?’ People will answer, ‘Because they have forsaken the Lord, the God of their ancestors, who brought them out of Egypt, and have embraced other gods, worshiping and serving them—that is why he brought all this disaster on them.’” 2 Chronicles 7:11-22 (NIV)
FOUNDER’S MESSAGE:
lack of cooperation and a lack of unity in various campaigns across the nation. Of course that is also amplified by those who succumb to the temptation of deception and manipulation regarding the election procedures and the processing of ballots.
However, the most striking observation was that the great majority of people in America do not
have a genuine day to day relationship with God; if they had this precious personal relationship with Heavenly Father, the previous observation would not have been evident. The biblical verse used to introduce this edition has been used in previous editions of this newsletter. So, the point is that it was not just the result of the elections that mattered, but also the manner in which the elections took hold of the country that mattered. We’re not there yet…
And, just exactly where is there? How would anyone know when they got to there if they did not have any idea what there would look like? As mentioned at the beginning of this message, a lot of reflection is needed after the nation’s midterms. It would seem Americans need to consider a couple of serious questions: How does one remain humble during the time of evil’s dominion over our land? And, it is a broader question than just the implications from the results of the midterms. And, how does one remain patient upon Heaven’s Grace as the nation seems to be on life support in such a time? And, this also involves much introspection, as does the first.
Last week, I offered the perspective that Americans were no longer standing upon the virtual banks of the Red Sea, but as a populace we are now symbolically standing at the base of the mountain as Moses brought down the self-evident truths as revealed by God on the tablets. As I pointed out, many of the assembled people were impatient. Many were certainly not humble before God as they had decided to “do their own thing” rather than wait for direction from the one representing God. And one may wonder, if they could not receive direction from Moses, how would they receive guidance from God? In fact, when the Ten Commandments were given to the people, who had created the Golden Calf, it not only showed a rejection of God through the representation of an idol, it represented the worship of material and a rejection of moral values. On a deeper level, it also represented a rejection of Moses as spokesman of God and the rejection of the truth that God was sharing with the people at the time.
In 2 Chronicles 7:14, God is dealing with another representative, King Solomon after the temple had been built and dedicated. This is not just a simple passage to be quoted and then forgotten, it is a secret to developing a more genuine relationship with Heavenly Father. Many people of faith do see it that way. To this day, the importance of personal worth, or preference for material values often represents the worship of material and a rejection of moral values. Today, in America, we are a divided people. And, as Jesus emphatically stated: “A house divided against itself cannot stand.” He was referring to Hebrew history, as well as speaking the absolute truth.
As has been mentioned last week, at one point, brilliant and brave men and women made up their minds and decided to declare independence from tyranny and to stand for freedom at the risk of their lives. As a people, Americans in this time are not there yet. The way is set before us and we are in danger of repeating a serious tragedy in history, or we are on the threshold of a great historical advancement for God’s Providence.
Once again, I am submitting the message for this week with a second installment in my effort to provide what I believe to be a definitive perspective on getting to where we would like to be: One Nation Under God, which is what the escape from slavery was intended to be for Hebrews, for Americans, and for all the people of all the nations of the world – one human family. I offer a simple suggestion for an initial step towards that end in my article. I hope you would read it and take some much needed time for reflection in such a time as this.

It will be an opportunity to connect via Zoom if readers would like to share more deeply about the messages and to learn more readily how to apply the written words to real life. May we become truly humble before God, seek Heavenly Father’s face, repent for our transgressions against Heaven each other, and honestly turn from wickedness – apathy or indifference to injustice, or even lack of proactivity in being good stewards of our Republic. May we become better protectors of our inherited freedoms. May we renew our covenant and return to God’s plan for a Land of the Free, so we can rebuild our Republic.
“Reflecting on Veterans’ Day in Light of the Re-Birth of One Nation Under God”

“Election Day” and they are more deeply interconnected than one may initially acknowledge. Of course, across the nation, “Election Day”day now lasts several days – even months), while veterans, who served the nation more faithfully, are only afforded one day.
One day for veterans, but even multiple months are set aside for public elections of those representatives of the people, who are supposed to serve as “public servants.” It may help to look at this current pair of days as a measurement of what we value as a people. Only one day is allotted to honor the men and women who signed up to put themselves in harm’s way. Yet, in relation to this day, is the election proceedings which may take up several days or even months.
And, after the elections come to a close (if they do) a great many people are discouraged, upset or have an attitude that it was a useless endeavor.
Actually, each position of service to the people should be considered sacred because they are in service to a great many other people, so those who “serve” should be respected by the rest of the people. Yet that is not the case. And if one is honest, there is very little respect for those political operatives who have no sense of a position of service to the greater public, let alone a mission to promote and protect our great Republic. Obviously, there is far greater respect (at least now – more than in the 60s) for our men and women who have served, or who are now serving in the military of our nation.
And as we have witnessed, there are men and women who are veterans, who return home after their enlistment or deployment, to run for office – to further offer service to our nation. Some turn out to be gems in relation to the rest of the politicians who serve for the purpose of promoting their own interests or their agendas. Certainly, the ones who become more notorious are the ones who are running for office who not only oppose a particular candidate, but the ones who also oppose the very principles upon which this nation was founded. Quite a few come to mind.
Nevertheless, our veterans, for the most part, stand upon moral ground much higher than those self-serving politicians who put personal or political interests above those of the people. And it is becoming more and more clear that it is not simply because one is a veteran that makes one candidate stand upon higher moral ground than one who is not a veteran. Putting on the uniform of our nation does not make one a better person in some mysterious or miraculous way. It is not the uniform that provides greater moral standing. It is what is inside the uniform that makes most of the difference.
The true character of a “public servant” is genuine humility, not feigned humility. A true character within a “public servant” is a genuine sense of the value of those who came before, those who may have sacrificed more than they would be required to do in this era. The true character of a “public servant” is a genuine willingness to help others despite the personal cost – a willingness to truly serve others for the sake of those they are supposed to represent. True public servants put family before self, put the community before their families (because the family benefits as a part of the whole), and they put the state or nation before their own community or regional interests because when the whole is served, the community or region also benefits. Such would be the core integrity of a genuine public servant.
Yet, today self-centered interests have become predominant in our society all across our nation. The outcome of electing self-centered, self-promoting, and those who will sacrifice others for the sake of their own personal or political gain is all around us – like a cancer consuming our nation.
Politicians, for the most part, have to have a great deal of ego-rooted self-value. Most need to have that within themselves, or they may not have the courage to stand up and run for office. Rush Limbaugh used to say this about talk-show hosts, but it is even more true of those who become political candidates.
Yet, when ego overrides humility, self-centeredness, self-preoccupation, or self-aggrandizement will tip intentions and focus away from genuinely serving “We the People.” Helping oneself to those perks associated with being an elected official or an appointed official (those with no public appraisal or approval via an election process) becomes the focus. In other words, when politicians run for office, their “true colors” eventually show up. That can be referred to as their true internal characters being revealed. True colors is a battlefield analogy. The true colors are the ‘true flag’ people are fighting for, or working for, as they advance their political agendas.
The deeper reason why veterans (not all) would command greater respect from the general public than anyone who happens to run for office for personal reasons is that a veteran may have risked his or her life in battle. Yet, simply coming to serve in the military means that the possibility also exists that the sacrifice of one’s life may be required. When compared to those politicians who have never been required to sacrifice for anything, or for anyone, there exists a significant difference inside those who have had to make such sacrifices for the sake of others.
It seems this is not something easily understood by the greater American population since the people keep electing those self-centered, self-preoccupied, or self-serving politicians.
This truth gets to one of the ways there can be a rebirth of the Republic – the rebirth of One Nation Under God. It has been said that “ego” is an acronym for “easing God out,” or “edging God out.” Ego is the predominance or inflation of one’s personality or internal character that opposes one’s attempts to manifest genuine humility. Many (not all) who have come face to face with death, and who have lived to tell about it, are often people of humility. Those who have had near death experiences often happen to appreciate the value of life more deeply.
Those who have had their lives saved by others, are often more humble by nature – their internal character bears a sense of gratitude for the value of being given a second chance. It
is often why Christians can maintain a deeper sense of humility – they are truly grateful for the salvation of Christ. And, this truth gets to one more of the steps needed for a real rebirth of One
Nation Under God. Those who have experienced a personal re-birth, or who have been given a second chance at life, are those who have a more real sense of humility before God. There is a lot to be said for humility and a lot to be said for God’s Grace that offers one a second chance at life. Veterans may have had more opportunities at facing off against death, but anyone who has experienced this, whether personally or in relation to a loved one, has a deeper respect for life itself. And, each life in and of itself is precious. Second chances are precious.
And, in such a time as this, America deserves a second chance at redeveloping into One Nation Under God. Americans deserve a second chance at being better stewards of what Heaven gave us from the very inception of this nation. As Abraham Lincoln stated in his Gettysburg Address that it was a nation “conceived in liberty” and that all are created equal in the eyes of God. Many
Americans, based upon their faith, or based upon a higher sense of ethical integrity, or a higher moral standing, are more willing to protect and defend the ideals, principles and values of our Constitutional Republic than others who merely give lip-service to the concept.
It is extremely important to bear in mind that our nation was not conceived by a military leader, or brought into existence by a superior military force overwhelming an enemy. The nation was conceived in liberty by the people. The nation was created in liberty for the people. It needs to be revitalized through the action of the people. Humility, repentance, seeking God in earnest, and honestly turning from wicked ways is not just a biblical verse to be chanted in some wishful mantra. It is a genuine course of action to be followed in the process of our nation’s rebirth, and humility is just the first step of the journey.
