From Our Founder…
12/17/19 – As we approach the holiday season, there is definitely not the usual pervasive spirit of “peace on Earth, Goodwill toward man…” These are truly times that try good people’s souls, and times that manifest division and tension. American citizens of faith, who can appreciate the purpose behind the two primary holidays in this season, Hanukkah and Christmas, can also see that the nation without a foundation of faith is what it is. And if there were an absence of faiths in the history of the world, it would be easier to imagine what Hell would be like.
It is an extreme irony that there once was a political party that proclaimed they were “Friends of the Constitution,” and then destroyed the fledgling Constitutional Monarchy emerging in France after the French Revolution. That was not only ironic, but pre-planned propaganda designed as the perfect deception to destroy a movement toward a free France. It was never the same as it fragmented into different self-promoting, unity-eroding factions. That is the spirit descending on America today. One key difference? The American Founders appealed to God, “appealing to the Supreme Judge of the world for the rectitude of our intentions,” while God was literally expelled from the ensuing inhumanity to the French people.
The Citizen Sentinels Network exists to help American citizens In the midst of these turbulent times, to wrap their heads around the scope of the insidious efforts of pre-planned propaganda designed as the perfect deception to destroy freedom in America, to expose the self-promoting, unity-eroding political factions within the United States. For a principled Republic to function and thrive, patriots need to awaken and arise. Once alert, each patriot needs to act in accordance with the better guidance of their conscience. The holiday season can only be disrupted and tainted to the degree people permit it to be done within their minds and hearts. In this time more than ever, good people should realize the deeper reasons for celebrating Hanukkah as a victory of the victory of the Maccabees over the Syrian Greek army, or the coming of the Christ child in the midst of one of the worst repressive empires in history.
Our lineup of articles from network writers this week features articles about the current state of affairs in America from a deeper perspective. I submit an article on the relative efforts of the POTUS vs. the Democrat impeachment charade of a disgruntled party. Kathleen Hall offers an excellent article introducing Dr. Mary Grabar and her book “Debunking Howard Zinn: Exposing The Fake History That Turned a Generation Against America.” Take Ms. Hall’s article to heart and maybe you will get a copy of Dr. Grabar’s book, or even one as a present for a loved one.
Michael Lewinski provides an explanation of the “Fifth Element” that is essentially distracting the Congress from important work needing to be addressed. If the nation’s business can be diverted in such a way, who’s driving the bus? Thank God, America is a nation of three branches of the federal government.
Additionally, a writer who used to write more regularly for the CSN newsletter is rejoining our efforts. Judith Rose offers excellent insight to a much deeper issue – the freedom of choice that God gives to all. Since she is not recognized as a regular contributor, here is a taste of what is in her article, as it is definitely worth the investment of time to read it:
We are not here solely to avoid evil; we are here to do good. “Agency is not just the right to have fun without responsibility as many seem to suppose… how entertaining was it for Washington and his threadbare soldiers to fight the war for independence? How much pleasure did his soldiers have at Valley Forge? It isn’t fun that builds a life. It is choosing to do many good things with our freedom of choice.
Additionally, we offer a couple of contributions from DefCon News. One article slams the Democrat spin machine in the latest attempts to paint Trump as the worst evil in America.
The other article delves into the best that the MSM had to offer in their own recommendations to readers, but the writer points out “Even in handing out accolades and superlatives, the liberal media manages to push its leftist fake news agenda.”
Last but not least, we offer President Trump’s proclamation on Bill of Rights Day.

The Bill of Rights: Still Worth the Fight!
By Dennis Jamison – December 17, 2019
On December 9th this year, while the Democrat leaders were readying their artificial articles of impeachment for President Donald Trump, the POTUS was issuing a serious proclamation for human rights and Bill of Rights Day, which fell on December 15th this year. An article submitted to Canada Free Press on December 11th, expressed my view of the one-sided, partisan-driven “impeachment” effort, which is at its heart a politically motivated, selfish-centric, criminally-inspired coup d’état against our beloved Republic.
“Democratic” Party is party power before the people
In this past week, Americans who are paying attention could witness the intentions of the POTUS in action in his efforts to promote human rights—not just in the United States, but throughout the world. In this past week, Americans who are paying attention could witness the intentions of Democrat leaders partisan-driven “impeachment” effort. The clear message from the “Democratic” Party is party power before the people. And, no doubt their socialist inflamed, Marxist mantra would spew forth the self-deception that “the ends justify the means.”
Zinn Gets Credit for Millennials Ready For a Socialist America
In spite of constant, destructive attempts at obstruction to his functioning, our President somehow gets up early every day and makes domestic and foreign policy decisions to bring better lives and safety to Americans. His many successes will not be revealed by our traitorous media, but this is not the only strike against us.
Those who will benefit the most from our President’s efforts, young voters, are in large part ignorant of the true uniqueness and goodness of the way our Republic was designed. It is hard to believe this miracle, the first country formed not by ethnic, tribal or geographical conditions, but by all peoples coming together through belief in an idea of equality and freedom from tyranny and eventually being given the opportunity of self-government, a concept never before even heard of, is not understood by so many of our millennials.
The source of decades of distortion, misinformation and omission in the teaching of our American history, who can take most of the credit for young voters ready for Socialism is Howard Zinn, a known Communist. His 700-page textbook, “A People’s History of the United States” published in 1980, has broken records in sales and adoption for classroom lessons. There are multiple spin-offs of this book. One hundred thousand teachers have signed up for free downloads of lesson plans: “Zinn Education Project.” They are using and believing in this perverted version of our history. Plays are being performed based on this material. Actors are reading scripts from this anti-American version of our history in Central Park.

The Fifth Element
By Michael J. Lewinski 12/11/19
There is a fifth element action being undertaken by progressive, Democratic Socialists, and a corrupt left-wing media. This effort has weakened the United States, both externally and internally.
The impeachment sham has distracted Congress from doing other necessary and important work for the American people. A budget has to be approved, the USMCA trade deal still needs to be approved, the opioid crisis must be addressed, and other important matters have likewise been ignored.
The phony impeachment hearings are distracting from foreign affairs and national security. Rocketman has been encouraged to pressure the U.S. Government for better terms on a nuclear deal, with him promising a special Christmas present for President Trump if they do not receive an offer for a better deal. China is further dragging its feet on a trade deal, leaving farmers and their families in the lurch.
Lies are the basis for evil in man. This sham impeachment is chock full of lies. They are that President Trump is guilty of treason, that he bribed a foreign leader, and that there was a quid pro quo. The Devil is the master of lies.
The Power of Choice
Most things in life are obtained for a price. For example, if you want to be informed, you must study. If you want to eat, you must work. When a person acts, there are always consequences. You are responsible for all decisions you make whether good or bad.
Society today prefers to assign blame to a particular political party rather than to individuals. Though you are not personally responsible for the consequences of lawmakers’ decisions, whether good or bad, you can maintain control of your reactions. You are not helpless. In America, as nowhere else, even one individual can cause change.
David O. McKay once said, “Next to the bestowal of life itself, the right to direct that life is God’s greatest gift.” But there is a fundamental challenge in choice. Our small choices often determine our big ones. Fun is here and now, but consequences, especially of misdeeds, usually lie farther down the road. So, what does this mean for us? Basically, our entire life is a test of how we will use our power of choice. For example, a student at college can choose to party rather than study. But he soon discovers that he does not have the freedom to dictate his final grades.
As we earthly ”soldiers” struggle to use our agency well, we must remember that it isn’t just the big tests of life that count; it’s also the daily quizzes. The decisions we make in the ordinary course of life events will determine how well we do with the major decisions inevitable in every life. It shouldn’t surprise us that it matters whether we read a tabloid magazine or an informational book, whether we eat a candy bar or an apple, or whether we always do what is most advantageous only for ourselves rather than considering the needs of others.
Greta Thunberg, Megan Rapinoe and Transgender Pronoun Top Liberal Media’s Best of 2019
Courtesy of Def-Con News
Either 2019 was a slow year or the liberal media is trying to push an agenda. Insane global warming alarmist teenager Greta Thunberg was named Time’s Person of the Year, angry lesbian soccer player Megan Rapinoe was named Sports Illustrated’s Sportsman of the Year, and the transgender pronoun “they” was named Webster’s dictionary Word of the Year.
Greta Thunberg became the global warming cult’s messiah after she sailed across the Atlantic to scream at people with this terrifying speech at the U.N.:
Greta Thunberg at U.N.: “You are still not mature enough to tell it like it is. You are failing us. Young people are starting to understand your betrayal. The eyes of all future generations are upon you.”
Here’s the death metal version, which is only slightly less scary:
Time magazine felt Thunberg had contributed more to the world than anyone else and named her Person of the Year:
This is not fearmongering; this is science. For decades, researchers and activists have struggled to get world leaders to take the climate threat seriously. But this year, an unlikely teenager somehow got the world’s attention.
Thunberg began a global movement by skipping school: starting in August 2018, she spent her days camped out in front of the Swedish Parliament, holding a sign painted in black letters on a white background that read Skolstrejk för klimatet: “School Strike for Climate.” In the 16 months since, she has addressed heads of state at the U.N., met with the Pope, sparred with the President of the United States and inspired 4 million people to join the global climate strike on September 20, 2019, in what was the largest climate demonstration in human history. Her image has been celebrated in murals and Halloween costumes, and her name has been attached to everything from bike shares to beetles. Margaret Atwood compared her to Joan of Arc.
Democrats Accuse Trump of Acts of Violence Against Ukraine President and His Family
Courtesy of Def-Con News
The Democrats are in desperate need of a crime to attach to their impeachment effort against President Trump. They tried out stuff like “extortion” and “bribery” with a focus group but those didn’t stick because the evidence doesn’t support them. In a last-ditch effort to slap a crime on their fraudulent impeachment effort, Democrats just started making stuff up like Trump pulled a gun on Ukraine president Zelensky and kidnapped his daughter. Yes, they really did this.
Democrats allege that President Trump threatened to withhold military aid to Ukraine in exchange for investigations into the crooked Biden boys. They rolled out partisan hacks and deep-state bureaucrats who testified it was their opinion Trump did this but the only two pieces of actual evidence beg to differ. In the transcript of the call to Ukraine president Zelensky, President Trump never used military aid as a bargaining tool for Biden investigations, and Zelensky himself has stated he was never pressured.
In Thursday’s House Judiciary Committee impeachment hearing, Republican Jim Jordan tried to point out that Zelensky has stated numerous times that President Trump never pressured him for an investigation or threatened to withhold military aid in exchange for anything. Committee head Jerry Nadler called Zelensky a liar and Trump an armed thug:
“Of course he said he wasn’t pressured. He has a gun to his head,” said Nadler.
Later in the hearing, Democrat Hank Johnson accused Trump of kidnapping Zelenski’s daughter with this weird rant:
“That brings to mind the picture of President Trump and president Zelensky meeting in New York in September at the U.N. And a big chair for President Trump, little chair for president Zelensky. Big six foot four President Trump, five foot eleven Mr. Zelensky, president Zelensky. And they’re standing there,” started Johnson.
If they were “standing there” what was the point of bringing up the chair sizes? Never mind that, Johnson was on a roll:
“Trump is holding court and he says ‘oh by the way, no quid, no pressure.’ And you saw president Zelensky shaking his head as if his daughter was downstairs in the basement, duct-taped,” said Johnson.
So Trump is tall and kidnaps girls? That’s a weird variation on, “Trump is worse than Hitler.”

Presidential Proclamation on Human Rights Day, Bill of Rights Day, and Human Rights Week, 2019
Issued on: December 9, 2019
Nearly two and a half centuries ago, American colonists broke free of a tyrannical monarchy and rose from the shadow of oppression, creating a new Republic predicated on liberty and the rule of law. Innate to the identity of this new Nation was a revolutionary commitment to the preservation of individual rights. The Framers drafted a Constitution that would ensure the God-given rights of the people. Nevertheless, some of them believed more was needed and insisted upon the enumeration of a set of rights that would be protected from government interference. As a result, the United States ratified 10 Amendments to our Constitution, known as the Bill of Rights. On this day, we pay tribute to these profound protections provided to all Americans, and we reaffirm our commitment to safeguarding them.
James Madison, the “Father of the Constitution,” was once a skeptic of the need for a Bill of Rights, pondering whether such “parchment barriers” could prevent government intrusion on our liberty. After some persuasion from his friend Thomas Jefferson, however, Madison eventually supported the adoption of the Bill of Rights to achieve the compromise necessary to ratify the Constitution. Jefferson famously wrote to Madison: “A bill of rights is what the people are entitled to against every government on earth, general or particular, and what no just government should refuse or rest on inference.” In the 228 years since the adoption of the

The Citizen Sentinels Network provides this newsletter for those who are able to consume and digest the truth and our views. We hope that the primary articles we provide (minus ads, minus subscription fees, minus “strings” attached, or any other obnoxious distractions) could be a source of sanity in such times that try good people’s souls. In human history, the pathway of tyranny in many time periods included the simple strategy of “divide and conquer.”
