From Our Founder…
4/30/2020 – Today marks the third week with two three editions of the CSN newsletter being sent to our readers via our different distribution channels. The reason behind this expansion of our efforts is due to the issues of the day primarily involving the COVID-19 issues, but because of the reality that this is still an election year.
Increasingly, academic studies are emerging which challenge the premise of how contagious and how deadly COVID-19 truly is. We are not attempting to promote a “scorecard mentality” with regard to the tragic death toll because as President Trump has said one death is too many, but the initial estimates of millions of deaths and overwhelmed hospitals have not materialized in a substantial way. The CSN news has provided the standard for measurement for the CDC’s own projections of between 24,000- 62,000 deaths for the U.S. 2019-2020 flu season. Current death tallies in the U.S. for COVID-19 now indicate between 50,000 and 57,000 lives lost (depending upon the source). However, sources from medical professionals indicate a nationwide directive that deaths be counted as attributed to COVID-19 regardless of actual causes.
Certainly, it is extremely challenging to sift through all of the information, misinformation, as well as outright disinformation. Most Americans have to do a lot of homework to stay accurately and properly informed. Network writer, Kendra Miller, provided a clear article on Tuesday which dealt with getting one’s facts straight.
Today, we provide an article from Dr. Robert Owens who delves directly into getting one’s facts straight. He offers a plea for our leaders to base their decisions on facts as well as the rest of us and expresses what many in the “muffled majority” are contemplating as we sit in self-sheltered bunkers across the continent.
On Tuesday CSN also presented a link to an article from CNS news, a division of the Media Resource Center, in which actor/director Kevin Sorbo had some caustic tweets about the reality of the lockdown. We are reprinting the caustic remarks directly in this edition for all Americans to contemplate in relation to the “facts.”
Also, on April 30, 1789, our First POTUS, George Washington, was sworn into office in New York. I offer an article delving into a then and now perspective and how God is related to the founding and affirm my understanding that God is still working in America.
And regarding an election year, Judi McLeod, Editor of Canada Free Press, who has examined the lingering Obama linkage to the political spectrum, looks at the very real possibility of a Joe Biden – Michelle Obama combination to go up against President Trump in his re-election bid.
Additionally, since it is still an election year, and it is not only about the presidential race in 2020, Caleb Backholm writes on “The Importance of Local Elections.” His article originally appeared on the My Faith Votes website: https://www.myfaithvotes.org/articles/the-importance-of-local-elections
Finally, Brian Anderson, of DefCon News, gives a perspective on the tragic shooting rampage that occurred over last weekend in Canada. He explains that it challenges the progressive and Leftist anti-gun narratives.
A special suggestion is made to check out the video from FOX News dealing with the issues homeschooling during the COVID Pandemic. A number of groups are rising up all across the nation, some before the pandemic, and some are forming now. Ed-Exit, an organization that just formed at the beginning of March, is committed to providing tools and resources “to seamlessly transition… children into proven Christian Homeschool education: https://ed-exit.com/
Okay We Get It
by Dr. Robert Owens – 4/30/2020
COVID-19, “The Social Security Flu” is hitting the old, the halt, and the lame hard. But out there in the wider, younger, healthier population it’s often so mild people don’t even know they have it. As a member of the high risk, or as my son puts it, “Someone in the kill zone,” a well-seasoned citizen with an underlying health concern, I think it’s time we all said, “Okay we get it.”
Now let’s quit charging giveaways to my grandchildren’s grandchildren and open the country up for the vast majority. They can go back to work, save the economy, and let us targets self-isolate. This isn’t just an offhand rant by an old foggy wondering who’s going to pay into the Ponzi scheme we call Social Security to keep the checks coming. The evidence and the recommendations for this approach are mere clicks away.
IT’S NOT ABOUT YOUR HEALTH!
credit to Kevin Sorbo…
For me —
When the State tells you it’s safe to go to Home Depot to buy a sponge but dangerous to go and buy a flower, it’s not about your health.
When the State shuts down millions of private businesses but doesn’t lay off a single government employee, it’s not about your health.
When the State bans dentists because its unsafe, but deems an abortion visit is safe, it’s not about your health.
When the State prevents you from buying cucumber seeds because it’s dangerous, but allows personal lottery ticket sales, it’s not about your health.
George Washington and God’s Involvement in America
by Dennis Jamison 4/30/2020
On April 30, 1789, newly-elected President George Washington, dressed in a plain brown broadcloth suit, stood on the second balcony of Federal Hall in New York City before approximately 10,000 spectators, and swore the oath of office to affirm his determination to fulfill the duties of the new office of President of the United States. On this day, in Washington’s First Inaugural Address, the Father of the newly born Republic did not call attention to himself, but he called attention to God’s work in creating the new nation.
It is recorded that despite all the extensive preparations and detailed planning for this historic ceremony, as the presidential parade carrying Mr. Washington by horse-drawn carriage approached Federal Hall, someone realized that no Holy Bible had been procured. A Bible would have been required by law for the actual swearing-in part of the ceremony. The problem was soon resolved, as it has been reported that the parade marshal, Jacob Morton, rushed off and brought back a King James Bible that was laid upon a crimson velvet cushion held by Samuel Otis, Secretary of the Senate.
Get Ready For Their Message: Michelle And Joe Only Want to Hug And Love You
By Judi McLeod —-April 27, 2020
The impact of the coronavirus scare has brought the masses to where Barack Obama wanted them to be—a collective digital screen where he, wife Michelle, Joe Biden and the rest of the Democrats can stream out their never-ending message to you.
Don’t expect to get back to work any time soon because it looks like current stay – at – home orders will keep most of America on lock down until after the November 3 presidential election.
Bored, restless and at your wit’s end at home is where the power-crazed Democrats need you to be as a captive audience. It’s the best place to feed the masses the digitized propaganda they find necessary to install Joe Biden and “hugger” Michelle Obama—who today sent an “I love and miss you all” message out—as the running mate of their choice in the Oval Office.
The Importance of Local Elections
Op-Ed by Caleb Backholm April 27, 2020
COVID-19 continues to dominate national headlines, as President Trump and his team give us daily updates. But as we’re seeing, it’s not just national leadership that matters, but also local leadership — and local elections.
States, and even cities and counties, are handling this crisis in very different ways, and the differences may become even more pronounced in the coming weeks as people become desperate to earn an income, or even just get out of the house again.
A couple of weeks back, President Trump generated quite a stir from conservatives and liberals alike when he said that he had the ultimate authority to reopen the states. Whatever he may have meant exactly, a few days later he made it clear that in fact, these day to day affairs will be managed at the local levels.
Inconvenient Canadian Mass Shooting Blows Away Several Liberal Narratives
By Brian Anderson, Courtesy of Def-Con News 4/24/2020
“These kinds of shootings don’t happen anywhere else in the world,” say liberals. “Gun control stops mass shootings and saves lives,” liberals say. There was a mass shooting in Canada, which isn’t the United States, in which 16 people were killed. Canada has draconian gun control laws that make California and New York envious. Chances are the liberal media in the U.S. won’t spend much time covering this story because it literally blows away many false liberal narratives on legal gun ownership.
Fox News reports that a dentist in Canada went on shooting spree: “A horrific shooting rampage Sunday in Nova Scotia, Canada, killed at least 16 people including a policewoman, investigators said, in the deadliest attack of its kind inside that country in history.”
The lone gunman, 51-year-old Gabriel Wortman, was also dead. He had “moved across the northern part of the province and committed what appears to be several homicides,” Royal Canadian Mounted Police [RCMP] Chief Superintendent Chris Leather said.
