From Our Founder… 8/6/19

Recent mass shooting in various states are horrific, and for those victims who have lost their lives there is no words that can be spoken that can heal the pain, nor hollow words of political indignation or outrage that will compensate such senseless loss of life. It is definitely hard to write of such tragedy or formulate words that will make things better. Even worse, the average American often experiences a “knee-jerk reaction” to the publicized shootings, usually featuring the mainstream media’s narrative-driven commentary cemented to the mantra of “gun control.” Our concern is that the American people will become so self-insulated that such mass shootings simply become commonplace – like witnessing a traffic accident either directly or indirectly. Over time, people can tend to become numb to such serious tragedies – even when there are numerous fatalities.

Unfortunately, some of the news coverage of specific shootings tends to glorify the shooters while de-emphasizing the insanity of taking a person’s life. And, with much of the agenda-driven media focusing more on the gun-control narrative, the public loses perspective. The truth is that there is something much deeper that is wrong with American culture and American society. Sadly, the divisive rhetoric and accusations do little to heal what is wrong. The increase of mass killings is absolutely immoral, yet many young American males are tempted to perform such evil actions. This demonstrates a breakdown of the ethical and religious foundations of our nation. One can easily get lost in the weeds – especially if one pays much attention to the ministers of mental manipulation of the MSM.

In this issue, our own Karen Cacy tackles the mass shooting in El Paso and provides her unique perspective on the recent trends as she echoes comments made by Texas Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick. Karen addresses the deeper wrongs in American culture. Her perspective is an accurate one.

Additionally, In an attempt to understand this, the Citizen Sentinels features links to some articles that surfaced after the tragic events this weekend.

Our regular lineup of writer’s articles also feature issues that are essential to comprehend in a very turbulent world. This week, CSN news, in a joint venture with Def-Con News, is also incorporating articles from writers on their site: http://defconnews.com/

Two articles are featured – one that deals with Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren’s nuclear weapons policy which would let our enemies nuke us first, vowing no preemptive nuclear strikes. The second is an article deals with the radicalized form of rampant political correctness, more specifically another MAGA hat saga, which is reflective of a milder form of mass violence against innocent civilians.

This week our own Michael Lewinski briefly examines the racist card, which is now giving way to the “White Supremacist” mantra, which in turn promotes violence of Brown Shirt wanna-be’s or the actual official Brown Shirts of the Democrat/”Progessive” Party. Bonnie Parsley contributes a speech she delivered before the city council of Temecula, California, which addressed a proposed resolution supporting the Constitution of the United States. She spoke after 24 socialists spoke to advocate against the resolution and in support of a socialist government. It is worth a read.

Additionally, we offer an article from Kendra Miller, a resident of Baltimore, who gives a first-hand account of what Elijah Cummings district is really like. This is the severe hemorrhaging wound in large metropolitan areas that the Left and “Progressive” political operatives would rather have the public ignore. Such areas are breeding grounds of fear, hatred, and despair. Instead of truly addressing the serious plight of those human beings who suffer within the Democrat-controlled inner cities, the media and “Progressive” politicians point to the Republicans as culprits. With little outrage exhibited over the suffering of those people for which they are charged with taking real responsibility as elected representatives, the “Progressive” – Socialist politicians ignore the real problems to manufacture artificial reality. They show indignation over mass shootings and ignore the regular toll of countless youth’s deaths in their own inner cities. My article deals with citizens in Colorado who are trying to take back their state from those same “Progressive” – Socialist politicians who lead the nation into a continuing downward spiral.

Next is is a report from Dawn Hoagland who examines China’s latent aspirations to be an empire again. When Americans hear President Trump harping on China, it is because there may be good reason, and he may understand much more than the average citizen. To gain a better overall snapshot of China in 2019, her article is worth the attention.

Our Video Views feature video this week offers a video of Dr. Warren Thomas Farrell on Fox News “The Story.” He is an American educator, activist and author of seven books on men’s and women’s issues. His explanation of why we keep seeing these mass shootings and why they are committed 99% by young men is enlightening. This debunks all of the Left’s cries for more gun control as the solution and should be shared everywhere you can.

It is followed by an article that debunks the notion that all mass shooters are white males.

Also, from recent events, we offer three additional links dealing with pertinent perspectives:

As the founder of Citizen Sentinels, I again submit again that “We the People” need a foundation for rational thought, not just to think about the events that transpire throughout the nation, but to provide a catalyst for sensible and productive action. Right thinking produces right action. It used to be called wisdom, and sadly, it is becoming a rare treasure in our nation.

Naida Taylor comments On Bonnie Parsley’s article GroupThink…

This is all so true and I believe there are more right thinking people than we REALIZE OUT THERE. I sure hope so.”

The Real Reason Behind Mass Shootings

Dr. Warren Thomas Farrell is an American educator, activist and author of seven books on men’s and women’s issues. His most recent is “Valentine’s Day and the Parkland Anniversary: Dr. Warren Farrell on How to Prevent Mass Shootings and The Boy Crisis.”

He was a guest yesterday on Martha McCallum’s Fox show, The Story. His explanation of why we keep seeing these mass shootings and why they are committed 99% by young men is enlightening.

This debunks all of the Left’s cries for more gun control as the solution and should be shared everywhere you can.

The original video is here, but I’ve copied it here in case you don’t want to go through the hassle of entering your cable provider.

Photo montage shows every suspect in 2019 attacks

The attacks in El Paso, Texas, and Dayton, Ohio, over the weekend that have taken at least 31 lives have put a spotlight on the problem of young, isolated white men carrying out mass shootings.

But a list of the people arrested or charged in the 255 mass shootings recorded this year — defined as four or more people shot or killed — shows the problem isn’t confined to white men or motivations of white supremacy.

If there’s a thread, it’s young men whose biological father was missing in their lives. After the Parkland school massacre in Florida, the Heritage Foundation cited a study showing that among the 25 most-cited school shooters since Columbine, 75 percent were reared in broken homes.

Most, according to psychologist Peter Langman, an expert on school shooters, came from homes that also experienced infidelity, substance abuse, criminal behavior, domestic violence and child abuse.

It’s the Times: El Paso proves that we live in a mean culture

COLORADO:  Texas Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick went on a one-of-a-kind rant Sunday on Fox television: “What do we expect,” he asked, “when kids play video games instead of going to church?”  One of the shooters reportedly was acting out in real life a violent video game character. Children just entering grade school today are being exposed to a boatload of vile and venom.  To gratuitous killing.  To music that celebrates it.  “Garbage in, garbage out.”

American children are being programmed in a culture that is vengeful, covetous, and mean.  When they put it all together and make it a reality, why are we so surprised?  They are simply doing what they’ve been taught.

Memories of the relatively peaceful Sixties elicit two stories.  There were riots in Portland, Oregon’s Albino District – a poor black neighborhood.  One elderly African American man stood on his perfectly groomed front lawn as the malcontents raided by.  He announced, “No n***s are going to come on my property and mess it up!”

In college, there was one woman, a precursor to the dark days of the twenty-first century:  She hung her Christmas tree upside down, announcing her cleverness to one and all.  She was an early Goth, depressed, dressed in black, and down on the world.

The stories stood out because they, well, stood out, in the Sixties.  They were counterbalanced and overwhelmed by a generally healthy society.  The technology was still in the typewriter era.  There were no mean girls, no Facebook, no Goth.  Pop music did not yet celebrate “the bitches,” murder or mayhem.

Those of the Sixties Generation was raised relatively quietly.  American Bandstand, a television show, showed bobbysoxers, dancing to music that celebrated young love, not young killing.  Comedy was not yet dead.  There were the Jack Benny Show, Sid Caesar, Red Skelton, Bob Hope, and “I Love Lucy.”

Not one of them dealt with politics.

Elizabeth Warren Says if she is President, She’ll let Other Countries Nuke Us

Courtesy of Def-Con News

Until now the only 2020 democratic candidate with a nuclear weapons policy was Eric Swalwell. Sure, his policy was to nuke Americans who refused to disarm and he dropped out of the race, but at least he had one. Elizabeth Warren has stepped up to fill the void and announce her own nuclear weapons policy which would also destroy America. According to the Massachusetts Senator, if she were president, she’d let our enemies nuke us first, vowing no preemptive nuclear strikes.

I have a theory that Democrats try to say as many disqualifying things as possible to confuse people in hopes that they are overwhelmed and won’t remember how terrible they are. Here’s another in the long line of Elizabeth Warren’s disqualifying statements:

The U.S. is not going to use nuclear weapons preemptively, and we need to say so to the entire world. Our first responsibility is to keep ourselves safe. Our military is the best on earth — but we need to use every diplomatic tool we have to prevent nuclear conflict. #DemDebate

Wow. Really? She wants to let the whole world know that as president she will sit back and let our enemies nuke us? That’s pretty much inviting a nuclear strike on the U.S., which, if memory serves me correctly, is treason. She’s giving military strategy (material support) to our enemies. If Donald Trump laughing about Hillary Clinton’s hacked e-mails is treason, like the Democrats contend, then surely giving our enemies all the information they need to destroy us counts too, right?

Mob Attacks Man for Wearing MAGA Hat In NYC

Courtesy of Def-Con News

Nobody has ever been assaulted for wearing a Hillary Clinton “I’m with her” t-shirt. They got laughed at but definitely not beat up. Donald Trump’s MAGA hat is a different story. Liberals have tried to define it as a symbol of hate like a swastika or KKK hood and since the left thinks it’s okay to attack anyone they disagree with, people in MAGA hats get punched all the time. This time it happened in NYC to a guy who is very clearly not a Nazi or a white supremacist.

Forty-two-year-old Jahangir “John” Turan told WNYW that he started his day on Tuesday with a trip to Trump Tower in Manhattan to purchase a new “Make America Great Again.”

“I love President Trump.  I think he’s doing a great job,” said Turan.

Things took a turn for the worst as he was walking down the street. A mob of 15 or so teenagers surrounded him and started yelling things like “f*ck Trump” and possibly racial slurs. More on that in a second.

“I got jumped for wearing this hat,” Turan said.

The Racist Card

By Michael J. Lewinski

One must ask, are persons of color completely exempt from being called out for their bad policies? The public reaction to President Trump’s tweets about Congressman Cummings and the four horses of the apocalypse were labeled as racist. Can these people be held accountable for the harm they inflict upon their constituents?

Because Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is a person of color, should her Green New deal not be criticized? Should we not point out eliminating the internal combustion engine in 10 years is looney tunes just because of her ethnicity? Should we not criticize Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib for their anti-semitic attitudes and comments? Does the color of their skin give them the right to be bigoted? Of course not.

Leftist Progressives employ the racist card to silence anyone with whom they disagree or whose message they want to block. It cannot be claimed that Baltimore is not a dirty city or rat-infested. It cannot be claimed that Baltimore is a crime-infested hell hole or that their inner-city schools fail their students in giving them a decent education. The cry of racism is meant to obscure these facts.

Socialism is Not American

A Speech By Bonnie Parsley

I was disturbed by speeches against a resolution supporting the Constitution two weeks ago. I don’t doubt that many of the speakers were sincere in their support of socialism. However, I believe that most of them do not understand what happens to a country when it goes down this road. What I find especially sad is that a history professor does not understand that you cannot have socialism without control and you cannot have control without coercion.

The United States of America was founded on an idea. The idea that all men are created equal.   Socialists misunderstand this idea. This does not mean that government is to create economic equality or impose policies that would redistribute wealth any more than they could redistribute talent or make everyone equally beautiful.

There is not one socialist nation that has not evolved into tyranny. Socialism erodes personal responsibility, pride in achievement, individualism and imagination. It destroys incentive, ambition and the work ethic that has led to invention. It offers no joy and will shatter our unity as patriotic Americans. In fact, it will kill everything that has made America the beacon of freedom and hope around the world.

Socialism is contrary to human nature and will result in black markets, crime and fear. The speakers from two weeks ago stated that we already have socialist programs such as Medicare, and social security. How are these programs working out for us? Both of these programs will run out of money soon.

I Live in Elijah Cummings’ District

By Kendra Miller

I have watched the Twitter battles between President Trump and the Democrats with some amusement and sadness. I find it ironic that the House can vote to agree that they think his tweets are racist, and yet they are unable to even begin to find a workable solution for the border crisis. I think they’re focusing on the wrong things.

The Twitter battle between President Trump and Maryland Representative Elijah Cummings (D-7th District) has been particularly interesting to watch. I happen to live in the 7th District and thought I could provide an insider’s perspective.

Cummings’ district comprises areas that were gerrymandered in 2013 to redistrict Republican strongholds in northern Baltimore County and western Howard County – merging them into existing Democratic areas and effectively removing any Republican representation in an already Democratic-leaning state.

We tend to have more raccoons and deer than rats where I live, but I do have to go into the city for meetings and to catch the train. When I travel into Baltimore, I carry mace on my keychain and another one in my pocket. I am extremely vigilant and cautious. I schedule my trains during times that should be somewhat safer because the station is in a questionable part of town and a relative was brutally attacked there years ago. Sadly, I have watched the city’s decline over the years. Panhandlers and scammers are everywhere, and I regularly encounter them on my trips into the city.

I spent many happy years around Harbor Place in my teens and early 20s, and felt safe there until I was almost jumped on a walkway leading from the Light Street Pavilion to the Hyatt Regency one evening. I stayed at another Inner Harbor Hotel for a work event several years ago. Over the course of two days, I watched police arrest a woman in front of the World Trade Center, had to be concerned about being attacked by a group of teenagers blocking the entrance to the hotel and was accosted by a vagrant in the entry to the hotel when coming from the parking garage. The city is definitely not what it once was.

Colorado Recall Efforts Designed to Take Back the State

By Dennis Jamison – August 6, 2019

Divisive partisanship has invaded Colorado in a big way this year. In the wake of the 2018 elections, footsoldiers from both the Republican Party and highly paid professionals hired by the Democrats are still fighting over the outcome of the state’s elections last year. Conservatives and Republicans are serious about an effort to recall the newly elected governor, Jared Polis. The effort was once considered an unthinkable political tactic, but since the recall of California’s Gray Davis, the practice is increasing nationwide. And, since the Democrat National Committee had orchestrated a political coup to remove Donald Trump from office, “all is (becoming) fair in politics and war”—or something along those lines.

Angry Colorado voters are concerned with the Democrat-controlled legislature that pushed through entire packages of Leftist priorities in 2019

Angry Colorado voters are concerned with the Democrat-controlled legislature that pushed through entire packages of Leftist priorities in 2019, including Gov. Polis’ approval of the National Popular Vote Compact, which can likely eradicate the entire value of having Coloradans vote in any presidential election in the future. Many conservative leaders in Colorado see that Polis is attempting a fundamental transformation of the way the state functions. Like Gov. Gavin Newsom of California, Polis is currently backed by a state legislature that would support any bill he desires to pass into law.

Does China Want to be an Empire Again? How Xi Jinping’s “China Dream” Could Affect the U.S.

By Dawn Hoagland

China is run by the General Secretary of the Communist Party of China, President Xi Jinping, who has declared himself president for life. It is competing with the United States to become the richest country in the world. How did that happen?

China’s gross domestic product has been growing at almost 10 % a year for three decades under a communist regime unencumbered by the rule of law. Why is it that the richer China gets, the more corrupt it gets? Historically for other countries, the opposite is true.

Not since Mao has China had such a nationalist leader as Xi Jinping. Xi promotes a vision of a unified China that will be preeminent economically and militarily in the world. China has 5,000 years of history creating an immense pool of pride ready to harness.

China wants to build a New Silk Road

Xi Jinping continually trumpets his “China Dream,” which is code for a revitalized Chinese Empire. Belt and Road Initiatives (BRI) encapsulate China’s ambition: all roads lead to Beijing. Plans to revive and expand the ancient Silk Road include 67 countries designated by China as target markets of BRI. The Silk Road is the name given to the ancient trading routes opened by the Han Dynasty of China which stretched across Asia and into Europe, lasting from 130 B.C. to around the 15th century and used to transport gold, silk and spices.

A new canal through Thailand would help Chinese ships reduce travel time and move without fearing any blockade from U.S. allies that surround the Straits of Malacca. A freight train connecting Beijing to London and modern welcome centers with clean water and refrigeration at Pakistan-Afghan border crossings are some of the BRI proposals in discussion right now. These plans require contracts with sovereign countries delineating who will build it, who will pay for it, and who will control it when it’s completed.
