A Call for Action by President Reagan

You, we, the American people, are up against the systemic threat posed by the Progressives. I spoke in my last post about the necessity of setting brushfires of freedom in the minds of fellow citizens. What’s a systemic threat? It’s an effort to overturn the social, economic and political order.

We have, at the present time, a competitive, free-market economy. Our social system is derived from a Judaeo/Christian tradition. A Constructional Republic is the expression of our political order. Each is marked by distinct expectations, goals and objectives.

The alternative to the established order consists of a progressive, collective Socialist/Communist economy, a secular social order and a federally dominated democracy. This is the vision that we must vigorously resist.

Americans expect an economy that provides choice, a meritocracy, abundance and reliability. This is precisely what a collectivist economy cannot provide.

The secular social order Progressives want to impose on society will result in religious speech being banned and require people to behave in ways contrary to their conscience. This is an attempt to overturn the moral order.

Rather than a Federal Republic with limited government and decentralized power, Progressives wish to concentrate power and return to what the founding fathers rejected; the tyranny of the mob.

President Reagan reminded us why we must fight Progressives. “Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn’t pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected and handed on for them to do the same, or one day we will spend our sunset years telling our children and our children’s children what it was once like in the United States where men were free.”

You don’t want to relate that to your progeny. Ask God to give you wisdom for confronting progressives.
