Democrats leaving your country at risk over impeachment

Democrats leaving your country at risk over impeachment

But not today. Not under the Schiff-Nadler-Pelosi impeachment trifecta.

Faced with a booming economy and success after success for the country at Donald Trump’s hand, enough is enough.  For the Democrats, that is.

It was as early as April 17, 2016 when Politico senior policy reporter wrote,

“Donald Trump isn’t even the Republican nominee yet. But his incendiary rhetoric, most notably about killing the families of terrorists and bringing back torture, has critics on the right and the left discussing the most extreme of countermeasures at an unusually early point in the race.”
“’Impeachment’ is already on the lips of pundits, newspaper editorials, constitutional scholars, and even a few members of Congress. From the right, Washington attorney Bruce Fein puts the odds at 50/50 that President Trump commits impeachable offenses as president. Liberal Florida Rep. Alan Grayson says Trump’s insistence on building a wall at the U.S.-Mexico border, if concrete was poured despite Congress’s opposition, could lead down a path toward impeachment.” – Could Trump Be Impeached Shortly After He Takes Office?

Make no mistake, the current Democrat impeachment timetable is nothing more serious than their strategy to unseat President Trump. Allowing them to take the Oval Office in the 2020 presidential election. In May, U.S. Rep. Al Green inadvertently gave away the game when he said,

“I’m concerned if we don’t impeach this president, he will get re-elected.”

He added,

“As I look the people of America in the eye, I’m telling you, we have a constitutional crisis; We must impeach this president.  If you don’t, it’s not the soul of the nation that will be at risk only, it is the soul of the Congress that’s at risk.”
Revealing Nancy

Unwittingly, Rep. Green’s remarks shine a light into the thinking of House Speaker Pelosi and her acolytes. Democrat leaders have become comfortable wielding the baton of power.  Their power has led them to lose sight of the Constitutional emphasis on checks and balances, of a two-party system, of the people controlling those power levers.

They, and they alone in their own eyes, now are “the soul” of the Congress.

In their attacks on the Executive Branch, the fight is about far more than a disliked presidential agenda.  It’s a fight against the very structure of the country.   A fight against the constitution and against shared power.  And ultimately, a fight against the people – you and me – who elected them.

Supporting the Democrats’ power play against a duly elected president one year before their opportunity to win back the White House, is a decades-long corrupted media. A media who has shared in the Democrats’ power world.

Operating inside their own “soulful’ bubble of virtue signaling, political correctness, and a far-left socialist upheaval of the party, Washington establishment democrats, at the onset of Trump, were poised to take control of the country under a President Clinton.

Democrats lose the election, stage a coup

But once they lost the election, rather than continue to operate within constitutional parameters they instead chose to stage a coup d’etat and set U.S. intelligence agencies against the intruder in a Kremlin-Esque spy operation.

Today, faced with the Justice Department’s imminent release of the proof of their nefarious, extra-legal actions, they require a spectacular smokescreen offense.

Added to Pelosi’s task of deflecting next week’s expected report on the failed coup d’etat, is her party’s roster of presidential candidates so dismal as to guarantee another loss in 2020 of democrat power.  Her timetable is rushed and understandably so.

Harsh accusations are required.  Drastic actions.

“The president’s actions have seriously violated the Constitution,” she said from the speaker’s office at the Capitol today.  “He is trying to corrupt, once again, the election for his own benefit. The president has engaged in abuse of power, undermining our national security and jeopardizing the integrity of our elections “
“Sadly, but with confidence and humility, with allegiance to our founders and a heart full of love for America, today I am asking our chairmen to proceed with articles of impeachment,” Pelosi said.
The Law Professors

Jerry Nadler’s House Judiciary Committee trotted out four democrat constitutional scholars, not fact witnesses, to tout the need to impeach.  Three of them delivered their hatred of the president and his agenda cloaked in self-important erudition and sound judgment.  They stepped into the political arena, not pedantically with citing of founding documents, but with a seething hatred of the imposter, Trump.

Professor Pamela Karlan’s hate of the President spilling over to a 13-year-old child.

Professor Jonathan Turley

Only the fourth democrat, Jonathan Turley, left the reservation of power retention.  Only he invoked reason, and impartial commentary.  His testimony, which was not covered by the media accomplices, nevertheless is available to anyone who has been following the Pelosi circus all fall.

He testified,

“I am concerned about lowering impeachment standards to fit a paucity of evidence and an abundance of anger.  If the House proceeds solely on the Ukraine allegations this impeachment would stand out among modern impeachments as the shortest proceedings, with the thinnest evidentiary record and the narrowest ground ever used to impeach a president.”

And Turley’s a fellow Democrat who did not vote for this president.

Impeachment’s and the March of History

This impeachment proceeds into the Christmas season and potentially into the presidential campaign season apace.  The best defense is a good offense.  For those who are excited about the march of history, these are interesting times.  As Pelosi and company try to bring down a president, and the people who voted for him, she also would bring down the constitutional barriers against such frivolous, power-hungry actions.

One wonders if, while in Paris, she purchased some new designer frocks for the show.

And, show it is.  Complete with foreign spies, angry scholars, and a jilted political party devoted to returning themselves to power, even at the expense of their country, its laws and foundational judicial norms.

So, pop your popcorn, sit back, and watch.  The ending is not pre-determined.  However, the facts are present, unchanging, and open for a full review.  As Ms. Pelosi holds onto power with her fingernails, a country at risk and unsettled awaits.
