State Sovereignty Federalism and the Tenth Amendment

The states ratified the Constitution and created the federal government. The Founders’ vision of a limited but effective federal government was based on a system of enumerated powers, checks and balances, three branches of government (separation of powers), the bill of rights, and federalism. We must restore states rights and state sovereignty so that they may once again balance the all-powerful, bloated, dysfunctional, post-constitutional, central government that has grown to grotesque proportions and threatens the nation. We support a repeal of the 17th amendment, perhaps the most damaging blow the states and the nation have ever taken.
