Kids Meet Someone Who’s Had an Abortion

One of the most disturbing videos I’ve seen recently is Kids Meet Someone Who’s Had an Abortion. It shows “Shout Your Abortion” movement founder Amelia Bonow asking kids aged 9-13 questions about abortion and sharing her own feelings on the topic.

Turns out Bonow is very proud of her abortion and has embarked on a campaign to convince others, including young children, that abortion is an excellent thing. She even has the word “abortion” tattooed on her inside lower lip.

Here’s how she explains the process…

“You go to the doctor, and they put this little straw inside of your cervix, and then inside of your uterus, and then they just suck the pregnancy out… And it was like a crappy dentist appointment or something. It was just like, ‘This is a body thing that’s kind of uncomfortable,’ but then it was over, and I felt really just grateful that I wasn’t pregnant anymore.”

Some of the children weren’t comfortable with her views and actually asked her some good questions.

Bonow asks one young boy if he believes that there are situations in which it is not right to have an abortion. “I want to say if, like, you are being reckless [or] if there’s nothing wrong going on,” he replies.
“Do we want people to just have all those babies?” Bonow asks, disagreeing.
“No,” the boy answers.
“So what do we do with them?” she questions.
“Put them up for adoption,” the boy states.
Bonow, continuing to disagree with the boy’s responses, says that the situation would still force her to “create life” and that she would still have that child somewhere in the world—even if she put him/her up for adoption.

Later, Bonow tells two teens that she thinks the word “pro-life” is “propaganda, because often the people that say that don’t want to take care of people who have babies that they can’t afford and then are totally poor.”

The video has received over 400,000 views, and is hosted on Seattle-based Cut Productions brand “HiHo Kids.” The goal here seems to be to catch children at a very young age and convince them that all moral and lifestyle decisions are just fine.

The video was so controversial that it seems to have been removed from their site. No worries, you can still view videos like…

We need to be aware that there are groups trying to influence our children while they are watching the Internet and fight back with the truth.
